All of our items are handmade to order and for this reason can take a while to create. Please see banner at the top of every page for the current creation time or order from the ready to go rings section where there is a selection of rings that can be dispatched within 1-2 working days. If you are placing a bespoke order and need it sooner please contact info@roughseascalmsouls.com or use our contact page first to see if your requirements can be met. 

As a small business Royal Mail seems to offer the best service so all of our rings are dispatched via them. You are offered the following postage options upon checkout:

Hopefully you're super happy with your purchase but if you feel that there’s a reason for a refund this is what we do:

You ordered the wrong size

Size can not be altered after receiving your ring however in some cases/designs they can through a lengthy process involving removal of sea glass which reduces the depth of the precious metal border meaning some depth has to be removed from the sea glass too. Then precious metal is either added or removed from the band part of the ring to make your required alteration. Due to the settings being in location it may slightly effect the roundness of the finished altered band part of the ring but every effort is made to have the correct shape, this is more likely to happen where rings need large adjustments. Rings with sand texture that get altered will result in the band having 1 solder join line visible on the outside of the band for reduction in size and 2 solder join lines for increase in size. This is something you ideally want to avoid doing as it will not look as nice. Any ring alteration incurs minimum charges of £150 for silver and £200 for gold. There is a chance that during the process of sea glass removal that the sea glass gets damaged. In this case a replacement piece will be put inside the ring but is likely not an exact match to your previous coloration.

Free ring sizers are available upon request but are open to human error and often get inaccurate readings. Any reading obtained via this method will be totally at your own risk. No responsibility will be accepted by Rough Seas Calm Souls if you select the wrong size. Professional ring sizing is the most accurate method to determine size and Rough Seas Calm Souls highly recommends that you opt for this method of selecting size. All highstreet jewellers offer this service.

Any design with naturally shaped sea glass border can not be altered in size afterwards as the sea glass will get damaged during removal due to the angles of the precious metal border wrapped around it.

Measuring the inside diameter of an existing correctly sized ring of a similar width band to the design you are planning on ordering is another way of getting a good size. If using this method please also ensure that the ring you are measuring has a circular shape still and has not been bent or disfigured in any way. By agreeing to these conditions you are accepting that you are happy with your choice of ring size and aware of these additional costs should you order the wrong size. Change of heart

Any ring from the Ready to go Rings section can have a full refund (minus postage costs). In the event of this please email info@roughseascalmsouls.com within 2 weeks of receiving your order and follow the email instructions sent to you for how to do this. Any return must be in new and unused condition in order to be accepted. Due to the bespoke nature of all other categories on the website refunds are not available unless the ring is faulty. The only items available for no fault return with the rings are the ones in the Ready to go Rings section. If you have ordered the wrong size from any category other than the Ready to go Rings section this can not be refunded after creation. Orders can be cancelled as long as they have not commenced creation so the sooner you make contact to do this the more likely it can be actioned.

Faulty items

Every item is packaged very carefully but if your ring has been damaged in transit or has a flaw then you have the choice of a full refund (including your postage) or replacement. Should this occur please email info@roughseascalmsouls.com within 2 weeks of receiving and then return the item by Royal Mail special delivery. If you use another method it will not be fully insured by Royal Mail and if for any reason it does not arrive a refund can not be given. All returns must be unworn and in the original packaging within 30 days of receiving your order..

Colour difference with different precious metals

It is a common misconception that white gold looks silver in coloration.

Many high street jewellers rhodium plate white gold (making it look silver).

9ct white gold actually has a naturally dull very slightly yellow coloration compared to silver and this difference is noticeable when placed next to/near silver.

A more silver coloration is provided with the rhodium plating option on the drop down menu of most of the rings. Please enquire if not yet available on the drop down menu.

18 carat white gold has a grey coloration compared to silver. There is a rhodium plated option for a more silver coloration on most rings. Please enquire for this if you want it if it’s not yet listed on your specific item.

We strongly recommend that you don’t mix up the carats of white gold with wedding band and engagement ring/rings next to it. Often people don’t like the colour difference when next to each other because it is an obvious difference in colour when placed next to one another.

When placing an order you are accepting the above information with regards coloration of the precious metal that you haver selected.

In the rare case of a faulty item we will process your refund directly within 30 days at the very latest subject to the terms and conditions below.

Liability
rough seas calm souls will not be liable in respect of customer or third party recipient failure to comply with the following product safety instructions resulting in wilful damage to/or loss of whether direct or consequential to personal property.

Children under the age of 10 years, should not wear jewellery unsupervised and should not be inserting any jewellery into their mouths or other orifices (the same applies to adults ;-0)
Some individuals may experience skin conditions or allergies when in contact with metals used in jewellery manufacture and the wearing of such items is at your own risk. 
Some individuals may find that the acid in their skin reacts with precious metals and causes discolouration/skin sensitivity and this is at your own risk.
Jewellery should not be worn when undertaking hazardous activities.

Breakage claims, incorrect orders and goods not received
If the goods supplied are damaged or are not what you ordered, rough seas calm souls shall have no liability to you unless you notify the company of the problem within 28 days. After such notification, all original transit packaging and the damaged or incorrect item must be returned to the Company before any refund or replacement can be actioned.

If goods are not received within 22 working days (UK) 35 days (elsewhere) from the order/ invoice date please notify rough seas calm souls.

Notification of Breakage Claims, Incorrect Orders and Goods Not Received should be made by email to: info@roughseascalmsouls.com and it should be made clear if replacements or a refund are required. Once these conditions have been met rough seas calm soul's obligation will be to issue replacement goods for non-deliveries (only if you selected special delivery postage) and damaged goods. Refunds are at the discretion of the Company.

Payments
We accept online payments from PayPal and  card payments from stripe. Cheque orders will not be processed until payment has been cleared. All prices are inclusive of VAT and we reserve the right to amend prices otherwise stated. The total cost of your order is the price of the products plus delivery charges as quoted on the Delivery and Returns page of the website and also on your order confirmation/checkout process. The displayed price on the order confirmation is the amount in pounds sterling that you will pay.

Order Cancellation
Once you have placed your order it can not be cancelled unless work has not yet commenced upon it. 

Once the item has been dispatched it can only be returned at rough seas calm souls discretion and we reserve the right to refuse returns unless the product is faulty or incorrect. When a return has been approved it must be returned in its unused condition and in the original packaging via Royal Mail second class signed for at your own expense unless the item is faulty.

Governing Law
The contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English Law, and the English courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes between us. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your Statutory Rights. Errors and omissions excepted. We have taken care to describe items as accurately as possible; however slight variations may occur due to the handmade nature of our coastal creations.
